I got to know Mohammed and Basem’s beach camp through a recommendation. It was there where I gained my first diving experiences and got to know the beauty of the beautiful underwater world of the Red Sea.
Despite his young age, Mohammed – I call him ‘Mr. Tom’ – is an experienced diving instructor and buddy who knows his diving spots inside out. For me as a diving rookie, he was the perfect guide and he really conveyed the fascination of diving to me.
The camp has its own special charm. In the evening it can be quite lonely there when no or just few other guests are there. Therefore, I recommend this camp to individual tourists and divers who love sleeping on the beach and are looking for peace away from the tourist centers.
El Qusier and the camp south of the city are a 45 minutes drive from Marsa Alam airport and approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Hurghada airport. Transfers can of course be easily organized.
