Dahab - fun, colorful, and with a special charm 🏖️
At the beginning of 2023, I traveled to Sinai for the first time and, on the recommendation of my Egyptian friend Walid, chose Dahab as the base for my Sinai explorations.
From the very first moment, I sensed a warm, welcoming, and wonderful atmosphere reminiscent of Mediterranean places. I chose the ‘Mirage Village’ as my accommodation, quietly located at the northern end of the lively beach promenade. I can warmly recommend this hotel with dive center to anyone who expects 2- to 3-star accommodations. This is how I felt and experienced the hotel’s slogan: ‘It’s not a hotel when it feels like home.’
Due to its central location on the Sinai, Dahab is an ideal base for exploring this fascinating desert peninsula. The small town offers everything a self-drive tourist could wish for. You can learn more about this place as an alternative to Sharm El Sheikh here.
