3 – Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google Invisible reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) to protect this website from fraudulent use and spam. The provider of this service is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
reCAPTCHA checks whether the entry in the contact form was made by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, length of time the website visitor stays on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses take place completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that such an analysis is taking place. Data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting his web offerings from abusive automated spying and spam.
Further information about reCAPTCHA and Google’s privacy policy can be found on Google’s reCAPTCHA and privacy policy pages.
4 – Jetpack Protect
To block possible fraudulent attempts to access our website’s admin interface, the following information is synchronized with Jetpack servers:
User’s IP address, email address, and username (according to the values attempted to use during the login process) and any IP-related HTTP headers attached to the attempting user.
Jetpack tracks failed login attempts, including IP address and user agent. It also sets a cookie for a day (jpp_math_pass) to store if/when a user has successfully completed a math captcha to prove they are a real human. You can find out more about Jetpack’s cookies at this link.
Data synchronized with Jetpack servers will be treated in accordance with the terms of Jetpack’s privacy policy.
